Young, different, inventive, classy, singer Cécile McLorin Salvant has revolutionised the most immediate jazz and is the vocalist on best form these days. No other recent jazz vocalist has obtained so many honours and in such a short time as Cécile MacLorin Salvant since winning the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Award (decided by a jury of personalities including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling, Patti Austin and Al Jarreau). Her album Dreams & Daggers recently bagged the 2018 Grammy in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category, repeating her success of 2016 at the same awards with For One to Love.
