Through Suisse Diagonales Jazz 2019, ten young up-and-coming Swiss bands get the opportunity to play in clubs outside their region of origin. The bands, as different as they may sound, are all equipped with musical autonomy, enthusiasm for innovation, stage experience and professional handicraft.
On the wall of an old factory, somewhere by the sea, someone painted «Omni Selassi» before he disappeared forever more and with it the language that we speak. What remains are two words and the drumming, the gear, the cables, the voice – to understand where we actually come from.
