Mark your calendars with the date of 19th of May! It is the release of Dock in Absolute’s first album on the Italian label CAM JAZZ (on the series CAM JAZZ Presents, which introduces prime young talents).

Dock in Absolute is composed of three musicians having studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Codarts University of Arts in Rotterdam and Hochschule für Musik in Saarbrücken. Jean-Philippe Koch (piano), Michel Meis (drums) and David Kintziger (bass) co-created their unique Jazz style in 2012, combining different genres from Classical to Rock music reflected in Koch’s own compositions. Their fresh approach to Jazz allows them to push boundaries and to explore the potential of new unique waves of sound.

Dock in Absolute don’t do standards as a rule and certainly not in this disc. Their first album, with the same band name, is packed with fascinating composition as well as terrific playing. If you wish to receive a copy of their album please email to info(at)musiclx.lu.

The band has played in famous festivals like Hong Kong International Jazz Festival (HK), Beishan International Jazz Festival in Pekin (CN), Paris Jazz Festival à la Cité (FR), Yokohama Jazz Festival (JP) and more...

And 2017 keeps the band busy with a European tour in May-June, then China in July. After performing at L’Entrepôt in Arlon (BE), at the Piano Salon Christophori in Berlin (DE) and at the Sala Fontana Theatre in Milan (IT), other 18 concerts are announced at the moment until the end of this year:
