Improvised Music Company, the Dublin based jazz resource and festival promoter are thrilled to announce that the 13th edition of its pan-European 12 Points festival will take place in Amsterdam, from 25-28th September 2019, at the pioneering BIMHUIS venue - a leading space for creative music in Europe.

“The BIMHUIS is proud to host the bustling 12 Points festival, showing the most relevant and fresh European music. With 12 Points we invest in the future; in young, adventurous, professional musicians, in new audiences and in a powerful and innovative international scene. In collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts, BIMHUIS will also present a sparkling fringe programme with exciting Dutch bands during the festival.”
Mijke Loeven, director BIMHUIS

12 Points is programmed each year by an open-call across Europe.
Almost 600 emerging professionals have performed at 12 Points since 2007. The festival is seen as a ‘mezzanine’ for promising acts on their way to the next level in their careers.

12 Points is currently seeking submissions from emerging artists from across Europe to perform at 12 Points 2019!

DEADLINE: Friday May 10th 2019

The programme for 12 Points will be announced at InJazz in Rotterdam 27/28th June!

The enterprising approach to programming, and the festival’s nomadic format (alternating between its home in Dublin and other vibrant young European cities) earned the festival the inaugural Europe Jazz Network award for ‘Adventurous Programming’.

“It is a privilege to present 12 Points at one of the worlds most prestigious jazz venues. Our festival is a platform for 12 of the best we can find across Europe, and we can’t think of a better platform than the BIMHUIS stage. 12 Points continues to be a great example of pan-European collaboration, developing ongoing partnerships with industry professionals and working together towards a shared goal of discovering the next generation of jazz talent.”
- Kenneth Killeen, Director 12 Points Festival
