August and September in Carinthia will once again be about jazz. The 19th Slovenian Jazz Festival will offer a diverse range of creative music from various Slovenian bands, from duets to big bands, and a rich accompanying program will only round off the varied musical offer. In total, we will be able to listen to as many as 15 concerts, and two more photo exhibitions will be on display alongside them; a jazz school will be organized, concerts will be hosted in four other municipalities in addition to Ravne na Koroškem and in Austrian Carinthia.
This year, within the framework of the festival, we are also presenting a guest country; the first on this list will be North Macedonia. We do not claim that the festival will present the best that the Slovenian jazz scene currently has. But bands and musicians who are regular guests not only of ours, but also of eminent foreign stages will be on stage. The music selection will satisfy die-hard jazz fans, as well as occasional visitors to these kinds of concerts, as the program includes various bands - both in terms of the number of musicians in total, as well as the music they play. We will hear everything from melodic vocals to fierce improvisation, from budding children to old Slovenian jazz, the concerts will be outdoors, in the hall and in the club, and we could go on and on. Every visitor will be able to find something for himself - all he has to do is open his ears, listen and hear.
