B-Jazz International Contest 2017

B-Jazz International Contest 2017

newsletter December 6th, 2016

From today on you can vote for your favourite band(s) on this page.

The jury listened to and looked at all 105 YouTube videos that were submitted and they have chosen a winner:
Phil Meadows Project (United Kingdom).

On top of that we're proud to present a list of 31 bands that are still in the running to play the finals of B-Jazz 2017.

How does it work?
Fairly simple: go to the page with all the videos, have a look at the videos that seem interesting to you and vote for them.

An overview of the 31 bands you can vote for:

That band will be on stage together with five others, namely:
Hoera. (Belgium)
Phil Meadows Project (United Kingdom)
Salim Daahoud Quintet (Spain)
the band proposed by Amersfoort Jazz (Netherlands) (tbc)
the band proposed by Saint Louis College of Music (Italy) (tbc)
Good luck to all of the bands!

Next week we'll launch the Composition Contest 2017, in which Belgian composers get the chance to submit a composition.
This contest is organised by Sabam for Culture and Muziekmozaïek Folk & Jazz, in search for new Belgian jazz themes.
Stay tuned.
