EFG London Jazz Festival: 13-22 November 2015

2,000+ artists. 300+ gigs. 50+ venues. 23 years. 1 city

The 10-day celebration of jazz that is the EFG London Jazz festival is less than two weeks away.

This year’s blistering line-up reveals a jazz treasure trove with a wealth of style, personality and community across the city. We’ve got young guns making their big statements at the festival — look out for the likes of Cécile McLorin Salvant, Kamasi Washington and Jacob Collier tearing up the city’s stages. The heavyweights are also out in force — Melody Gardot, Kurt Elling, Cassandra Wilson, Keith Jarrett, Maria Schneider and Terence Blanchard, not to mention Ice-T, are just a few of the artists we’re looking forward to welcoming – the full festival programme is over at www.efglondonjazzfestival.org.uk

The Festival is also at the heart of the ground-breaking BBC Music Jazz pop-up station, working in collaboration with a vast array of BBC radio stations, and our good friends at Jazz FM.

This year we have a burning question: London, what is your jazz? Big question, so let’s break it down. What musicians blow your mind? What makes you dance? What was your first album? Instagram vinyl artwork. Share your best live gig moments. Make a playlist that’s properly out.

Get creative — send us your most colourful responses with the hashtag #thisismyjazz and we’ll share it far and wide. Let everyone know. Shout it. Sing it. Draw it. Own it. #thisismyjazz
