PalmJazz Festival – all good things must come to an end

After six energetic but also very cheerful weeks ended up in Poland, and more specifically in Gliwice the PalmJazz Festival. So beautiful moments we have had! During these unforgettable evenings over hundred artists have cropped up through the festival scenes.

We started at the end of October with the concert of Kurt Elling who won hearts of the audience in Gliwice. In the next days the PalmJazz scenes were dominated by remarkable and unique artists who came to Poland from all over the world. We will remember for a long time the concert of Billy Cobham Band, who created a truly masterful presentation of percussive abilities. Also touching was one of the last shows of the festival: an artist about the dreamy sound of the saxophone - Jan Garbarek, who performed in Gliwice together with Trilok Gurtu.

Definitely one of the most important moments that should be mentioned was John Scofield’s concert who came to our festival as a part of his birthday concert tour. We will always admire the virtuoso innovations of this artist. We would like to thank all the artists as well as the audience of several thousand who have participated in the festival.

We already start arrangements for next year: jubilee 10th edition of the PalmJazz Festival, whose founder and artistic director is Krzysztof Kobyliński. We recommend our galleries and reviews with commentaries from the festival on the website: https://www.facebook.com/PalmJazzFestival/
