Reis Demuth Wiltgen’s new release on CAM JAZZ

Two years after their latest release, ‘Places in Between’, the guys from Reis Demuth Wiltgen are back! Their new album, ‘Once in A Blue Moon’ has been released on May 11th on the Italian label CAM JAZZ.

After an extended tour with the famous American saxophonist Joshua Redman, the Luxembourgish artists are now presenting an album which sounds agitated and relaxed at the same time. RDW brought successfully refreshing Jazz in timbres, graceful melodies, tension and intricate rhythms into the new album, which also includes a gentle Svensson-Jazz that stretches through the 13 multi-faceted pieces.

‘Once in A Blue Moon’ is a colloquial expression in English for something that is very rare. You can’t necessarily say that about the classical piano trio in Jazz but with Michel Reis flowing, dynamic, smooth piano playing; Marc Demuth’s double bass and Paul Wiltgen’s invaluable drum groove, we can definitely say that this record is a true gem that happens only once in a while.

Do not miss them live on June 1st at Duc des Lombards in Paris and on June 23rd at Lantaren Venster in Rotterdam! More dates details to come, stay tuned!
