Portuguese guitar, classical guitar, double bass and accordion, accompany two
superb feminine voices, in this Fado Tango record, if you can call it that,
the fusion of these two musical genres, both World Heritage. With very
successful live performance experience, this group of fado musicians revisits
the classic fado themes. It was in 2004 that this group became consistent,
with performances across the south of the country and some in the neighboring
country, including the very iconic Med Festival. Six members make up the
group, which musically is based on Portuguese music, located somewhere
between the most Traditional Fado and the so called New Fado, with little
inroads into Portuguese Folk Music, but in this project, conveying sounds of
Tango. Based mainly on a 6 element format, the group can also perform in 5 or
4 element format.
