Bettika Quintet, the ensemble of the young singer-composer Bettika Bakos, uses elements of jazz, free improvisation, world music and contemporary poetry. Most of the current program consists of Bettika’s own compositions: pieces rooted in jazz, interspersed with jazz-poetry or spoken word elements, with their rhythm and lyrics often based on works of Hungarian contemporary poets.
