The powerful Bureau of Atomic Tourism – or The BOAT – is an avant-garde free jazz formation led by charismatic drummer Teun Verbruggen. At the request of the 2011 Follow the Sound Festival (deSingel, Antwerp), Teun gathered some exceptional musicians for a trip to the twilight zone between jazz, rock, noise and electronics. The result exceeded all expectations. The BOAT showed itself as a full-oiled band, enjoying the force of improvisation along with great compositions.
