Fredy Studer: Solo Drums – Now's The Time

Fredy Studer is one of Switzerland’s truly great drummers, born in Luzern in 1948 and self-taught. In fact, one of the first to combine open improvisation and groove into his style. To commemorate his works, in Autumn 2018 the box «Now's The Time», with two LP's and a 224-page book, was released. To the recordings Die Zeit newspaper wrote: «Solo drums with a melodic finesse and balance, the likes of which is hard to find!». The release concert at the Jazz Festival Willisau was celebrated frenetically.
