The dynamic duo of Wiśniewski and Chyła explore various jazz styles from Scandinavian ballads to a wild oriental sound in musical performances that abound with energy, virtuosity and originality.
 
Wiśniewski is a jazz pianist, composer of theater and film music, arranger, accompanist, doctor of arts, assistant at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
 
He graduated from the classical piano class of prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń and the jazz piano class of prof. Włodzimierz Nahorny at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He also studied at the Hochschule fur Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in Germany and the Academie Musicale de Villecroze in France.
 
He is the leader of the Ignacy Wiśniewski Trio, whose album Jazz Shirim (WOOD and MOOD 2016) achieved Debut of the Year status and was included in the top ten jazz albums of 2016.
 
He composes and edits music for theater performances, radio plays and films, collaborates with directors, produces performances in theaters in Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Toruń, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Koszalin.
 
Since 2009, he has been a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he works with students specializing in musicals and jazz and stage music. In the years 2009-2017, he was the head of the keyboard instrument class at the Music Ensemble School of Light Music.
 
In 2015, Ignacy Jan Wiśniewski was nominated for the City of Gdańsk Prize for young creators in the field of culture. In 2018, he received a Young Poland scholarship from the Minister of Culture. In 2021, the Hevhetia label released the album Ignacy Wiśniewski DUOS, recorded together with Mikołaj Trzaska, Ole Walicki, Michał Bryndal and Marcin Januszkiewicz.
 
In 2022, he received the academic title Doctor of Arts and an honorary badge for services to Polish culture.
 
 
Project by Ignacy Wiśniewski Tomasz Chyła Duo 
The duo of jazz virtuosos, pianist Ignacy Wiśniewski and violinist Tomasz Chyła based on Tricity, was launched in 2022 as part of Wiśniewski's DUOS project. Both musicians met as students at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where they currently teach.
 
Tomasz Chyła is a highly respected violinist, conductor and composer closely involved in the art scene of the Triple Cities. He has a unique ability to present stories and convey moods through his improvisations, which abound in creative solutions. In addition to leading his own quintet, with which he recorded four albums, Chyła collaborated with Logan Richardson, Bobby Watson and Leszko Możdżer, among others.
 
Ignacy Wiśniewski is a talented stage music composer and jazz keyboardist, as well as an expert accompanist of singers and actors, renowned for achieving a perfect balance between technical ability and strong emotional expression. As the founder and leader of the Ignacy Wiśniewski Trio, he released Jazz Shirim (2016) and Kantata jazzowa (Jazz Cantata, 2018). The DUOS project, which Wiśniewski initiated in 2021, previously included collaborations with Mikołaj Trzaska, Ole Walicki, Michał Bryndal and Marcin Januszkiewicz.
 
Together, the musicians create a dynamic duo that explores various jazz styles, from Scandinavian ballads to wild oriental sounds. Their music is full of energy, virtuosity and originality. Through original instrumental dialogues and the harmonious combination of two talents, they create a unique and unforgettable experience for their listeners. Their concerts are an opportunity to learn original compositions that enrich the Polish jazz scene with new sounds and inspirations.
