Kinan Azmeh's City Band

Clarinetist Kinan Azmeh’s tremendous versatility can be derived from the variety of prominent musicians with whom he has collaborated. Daniel Barenboim, John McLaughlin, Yo-Yo Ma: his projects build bridges between Classical and Jazz and World Music. Azmeh, who has lived in New York since 1998, is also a guest soloist with the New York Philharmonic and the Paris Opéra Bastille. However, his musical life focus is CityBand, founded in New York in 2006. With this quartet, together with Kyle Sanna (guitar),Josh Myers (bass) and John Hadfield (percussion), Kinan Azmehdie tackles new paths between Jazz, Classical and the music of his homeland, Syria.
