Second place winner of the Riga Jazz Stage 2019 jazz talent contest, Liselotte Östblom is a Swedish-born vocalist, producer and composer based in London who combines traditional jazz vocabulary with urban groove, gospel and contemporary sounds. After the release of her self-produced debut EP A Paintbrush Unfold, Swedish critics called her "the future jazz star".
Liselotte earned international acclaim a year earlier, in 2016, when she was selected by American jazz pianist, composer, and educator Jason Moran for the prestigious Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead, a two-week residency at the John F Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for upcoming jazz artists-composers from all around the world.
