Michael von der Heide goes Jazz! On his new album, «Rio Amden Amsterdam» (2019), he surprises us with his new choice of genre, inspired by star Jazz singers such as Jamie Cullum and Diana Krall. For this work he joined forces with the successful producer Thomas Fessler, who had already contributed to «Lido» and «30 Grad». The new songs make their mark with catchy melodies and relaxed grooves. The poetical, sometimes cheeky and humorous texts entice us to listen closely. It is all about life, love, coming, staying and going. In addition to the songs from the new album, the program also features classics that deserve their place: So we will hear «Jeudi Amour», the world «Hinderem Berg» (behind the mountain) and beyond Walensee will be explored, before gold rains down on the audience for the finale.
