With guitarist Olivier Benoît in his first year at the helm, the Orchestre National de Jazz was completely redesigned in 2014, having adopted since then an ambitious programme named Europa, devoted to a series of city portraits whose aim is to outline a complex and subjective musical map of European contemporaneity. Having, naturally, started by addressing the sounds from his personal vision of Paris, Benoît moves on to Berlin, a new project to be performed at Jazz em Agosto. Highlights go to the young talents of Sophie Agnel, Alexandra Grimal, Théo Ceccaldi and Eric Echampard.
