Sylvain Cathala trio invite Kamilya Jubran | Jazzdor la saison

Saxophonist Sylvain Cathala and Palestinian oudist Kamilya Jubran have much in common. If only the complicity that each of them, within their respective projects, has with the double bass player Sarah Murcia, who accompanies them in these tribulations in quartet with also the drummer Christophe Lavergne.

The result is a musical proposal, like a hybrid and unique object, where the trio's repertoire interweaves Jubran's ; a meeting beyond the predictable, between the Palestinian soul and Cathala's modern and abstract compositions.

Here sensitivity is at the heart, carried by Kamilya Jubran's poetry and torn voice.
