The quartet’s repertoire consists of Szilárd Mezei’s compositions, where improvisation plays a major role. It covers a wide spectrum ranging from completely free improvisation to strictly written compositions, based on Hungarian folk music, contemporary music and modern jazz, with the distinctive sound provided by the two strings / two percussions line-up, where each member takes part as a soloist.
