The Guinness Jazz Festival is Ireland's biggest jazz event and attracts musicians and music fans alike to the city each year. The event has been held annually since 1978. The Cork Jazz Festival in association with Guinness features hundreds of musicians from all over the world playing at a host of venues throughout the city, along with a host Fringe events. Music fans from around the world are expected in Cork for a Jazz Festival that features some of the biggest names in Jazz. Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, and Dave Brubeck are amoung those that have headlined the Cork Jazz Festival in the past.
