NovaraJazz is now at V edition. It started in September and goes on to April with exclusive indoor nights. The season ends up with three rich week ends of summer outdoor festival in Novara and around.
International Jazz Day
On Monday, April 30 NovaraJazz celebrates in Opificio - Cucina & Bottega in Novara the UNESCO International Jazz Day with Roger Rota Octo: Roger Rota (soprano sax), Eloisa Manera (violin), Francesco Chiapperini (sax alto, clarinet, basso clarinetto), Andrea Ferrari (sax baritone, basso clarinetto), Andrea Baronchelli (trombone tuba), Alberto Zanini (electric guitar), Roberto Frassini Moneta (electric bass), Filippo Sala (drums, synth). Roger Rota set for this project music and composition for big ensemble. The artists in this work are musicians from the new Italian scene belonging to the area of creative and improvised music, which move well within the compositional language and research of this project. The result is a fresh, vital music, in the wake of modernity.
NovaraJazz 2018
Novara is almost ready for the new festival edition. NovaraJazz 2018 will have a rich calendar of concerts in Novara, jazz brunch and jazz sunset with tasting of local food and wine products in the historic places of Novara and its district for Taste of Jazz, photo exhibition, StreetJazz and street food in the streets of the center of Novara and involving many music institutes in Northern Italy, events for children with workshops dedicated to reading, music and painting, editorial presentations and the usual vinyl fair. The main stage into Broletto Hall will host Silvia Bolognesi with Linda Freriksson, Florian Satche and Emanuele Parrini, Matteo Bortone Trio, Hank Roberts, Pipe Dream, Giovanni Guidi Drive!, Horse Lords, Nubiyan Twist, Johnny Lapio with the Torino Performing Orchestra, Gianluigi Trovesi and Rudy Migliardi with the Oleggio Orchestra, De Beren Gieren, The Young Mothers, Goran Kajfes Subtropic Arkestra, John Surman and Ingebrigt Håker Flaten.
