Charenee Wade has all the necessary jazz artists’ qualities. She started her career by attending master classes and vocal competitions. Persistence and confidence in her own talent led her to the pedestal of the prestigious Thelonious Monk vocal competition.
In the international jazz artists contest "Riga Jazz Stage 2016" Charenee won’t be just the main invited guest, but also will participate in the jury work together with such experts in the world of music as Jiggs Whigham (Germany), Paul Pace (UK), Toivo Unt (Estonia), Önder Focan (Turkey) and others, assessing the achievements of young singers and trombonists.
The singer has performed on many prestigious stages and jazz clubs, for example, the Smalls and Zinc Bar in New York. Released her debut album "Love Walked In” in 2011, and then show the world her new work - "Offering". The album got a great critical acclaim, becoming an important jazz music event. Charenee is the first female jazz performer in the history that shone all of her albums to the recently deceased eternal rest American poet and musician – Gilbert “Gil” Scott-Heron.
Together with active performing activity singer also teaches vocal and stage art. She is a professor in the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York, and was a part of jury of the prestigious Jazzmobile contest. She fascinated both the world of jazz and soul/R'n'b with her incredible and sensual singing.
