Preparations of the 25th Ankara Jazz Festival is finished and the program is announced. The festival will take place between 14-24 October 2021.
FESTIVAL THEME:
Chair of Jazz Society and Festival Curator Özlem Oktar Varoğlu summarizes the theme as #SustainabilityinJazz. “As much as sustainability’s importance for the World in means of resources, it is also important in arts and culture. Projects should be sustainable to be successful and the music groups should be together longer and keep producing music with the same band, which is hard to do. But the fruit of the groups which resist the time are sweeter and develops its own characteristics in time. Also from the corporate relations side, longer and sustainable relations between corporations have many advantages. We are proud to be able to continue our relations for 25 years with many important institutions to keep Jazz going in Turkey. We would like to thank all the corporations and people who were together with us in all these years. It is better together.”
EVENTS:
The Jazz Society of Turkey determines the theme one year in advance and announces it on its website every year. The events that will take place in the festival are selected among the projects that are suitable for the theme. This years Program can be seen from www.jazzsocietyofturkey.org and cazdernegi.org websites”.
As scheduled, the festival will opening with a big band concert on 14th of October, 2021 and last until 24th of October, mainly at CerModern, Anatolian Civilisations Museum, Altinel Hotel & Convention Center and Jazz Society of Turkey’s Youtube channel.
A total of 17 events will take place in the Festival and some will be broadcasted online with the highest quality audio and video possible.
