The 41st edition of the annual Skopje Jazz Festival will take place from 13 to 16 October.
The programme of the Skopje Jazz Festival 2022 maintains its highest international level and the tradition to present the best of jazz and improvised music. Ten acts from Europe, USA, and Brazil will perform live at the National Opera and Ballet and Youth Cultural Center including Rob Mazurek Exploding Star Orchestra with Fame’s Chamber Orchestra (USA/Italy/Brazil/Macedonia), Hamid Drake’s Turiya: Honoring Alice Coltrane (USA/Portugal/Norway/Italy), Goran Kajfeš Subtropic Arkestra (Sweden), Abacaxi (France), Taxi Consilium (Macedonia), Amaro Freitas Trio (Brazil), Ingebrigt Håker Flaten [Exit] Knarr (Norway/Denmark), Thumbscrew (USA), Zulu 3.4 (Macedonia) and New Future City Radio (USA). Plus a documentary film screening of “Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” and awarding the best Macedonian young jazz musician.
