Belgium Booms @ Waves Vienna 2013

Each October, Vienna’s most important clubs - Flex, Badeschiff, Fluc and Pratersauna – throw open their doors to a host of electronic, rock and club acts for the Waves Vienna Festival. True to its ‘East Meets West’ motto, the event will this year focus on acts from Slovakia and Belgium.
No less than ten Belgian bands will be playing a showcase at Waves Vienna: Amatorski, Girls In Hawaii, Flying Horseman, Oscar & The Wolf, Dans Dans, Brns, Soldout, Float Fall The Experimental Tropic Blues Band and Compuphonic. In total, about a hundred international acts will be playing at the major clubs in Vienna.
Flanders Music Centre, Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques and Sabam will join forces to promotionally support the Belgian focus. Next to the large amount of Belgian bands in the festival line-up, there will be time for a Belgian opening drink and a meet & greet with foreign professionals. The conference part of the festival will attach special attention to the Belgian music scene with presentations and panel talks.
