The beginning of the year marked an important milestone in the efforts of Better Live partners to design and experiment with new models for making live music in Europe more sustainable!
Reuniting in Paris for four days, nine local action groups from the project's partner countries participated in a training course focusing on co-programming and environmental responsibility. The program was co-developed by several Better Live experts, all set against a backdrop of consultation and cooperation.
Better Live is a Europe Creative project that brings together 11 European partners from the jazz and improvised music scenes. From 2023 to 2025, Better Live will experiment with and produce new models for live music, aiming to reduce the scale of touring by multiplying the number of events within the same geographical area.
Better Live is an initiative of the Wytwornia Foundation (PL), BIMHUIS (NL), and Périscope (FR), and will be implemented with the participation of exceptional partners such as Jazzahead! (DE), Improvised Music Company (IE), Nasjonal jazzscene (NO), Zavod Sploh (SI), G Live Tampere (FI), EMEE - European Music Exporters Exchange (BE), The Cluster (GR), and Plataforma Jazz España (ES).
