Bringing Norwegian jazz history forward

Being Norwegian and working with jazz gives many satisfying moments of great pride. In mid-February, we will be visited by Bugge Wesseltoft, Arild Andersen and Gard Nilssen at Nasjonal jazzscene in Oslo for two consecutive days.

All being band leaders on each side and representatives of three generations of Norwegian jazz, belonging right up there by the international elite jazz musicians.

Although knowing of, and later knowing each other for a long time, it's is only a few years ago the three of them played together for the first time. Sparks flew and that short musical meeting was far too exciting to end there and then. Therefore it is fantastic to be able to present this razor-sharp trio with us for two concerts; a perfect Friday evening or a jazzy Saturday afternoon at Victoria, 20th and 21st of February!

Everyone comes to the stage with their own compositions, the concert will include songs from Bugge's recent album "Am Are" and Andersen's "Arv" and "Sagn" univers. As a collective, they have further developed the material and with their highly personal musical voices they take the audience on a unique jazz excursion.
