On November 12th 2018 the Danish Music Awards Jazz was celebrated at a large-scale show in Denmark with 7 prizes and 7 live acts. The show was broadcasted live on national TV and radio.
The 152 Danish jazz albums filed for nomination was voted in by a jury consisting of 18 relevant industry people from Denmark and abroad. The winner of the main prize, Album of the Year was drummer Frands Rifbjerg for his album Songs and Melodies, and Composer of the Year went to Fredrik Lundin for the compositions on the album “5 Go Adventuring Again”.
The Special Release went to August Rosenbaum and this years Vocal Release was for the second year in a row handed to Kira Skov.
