DIDIER LALOY & KATHY ADAM: New CD BELEM / Tour Offer 2015

 

For a long time these two eminent figures of the contemporary Belgian musical scene have known each other, playing together in the successful Neotrad project Phanta Rhei as well as in some of Didier Laloy's projects such as PO-Z's or Noir's. But it should take 20 years until their artistic congeniality would be fully revealed.

 

Both enjoy flirting with chamber music but also love rhythmic and dance elements. Their compositions are simple and strong at the same time, subtle and full of surprising turns, breathing and silence elegantly combined with the craziest of rhythms. A tender series of images that will carry you away into a world of its own. You can feel how much these two enjoy playing together, their virtuosity and sheer musical delight will leave nobody untouched.   

 

Didier Laloy is one of the most active representatives of the diatonic accordion revival in Europe, violoncellist Kathy Adam is at home in jazz and world just as well as classical music and has performed in musical, theater and dance productions for more than 20 years. 

 

"Belem" is their debut album and will be released on Homerecords.be on October 10, 2014.
