The 33rd Banlieues Blaues Jazz Festival will take place between 18 March and 15 April in Seine Saint-Denis, France. The programme for this year includes 42 shows ranging from famous names to emerging starts.
A wide range of musical style and a big focus on contaminations is what always characterize this festival. This year will see the performance, among others, of the great standards of vocal jazz BroadWays by Thomas Pourquery and Red Star Orchestra, the rock/soul of Meshell Ndegeocello, hot calypso by Calypso Rose, the latin-jazz Irakere with Chucho Valdés, the beautiful melodies from the movies by David Krakauer, crazy jazz manouche by Bireli Lagrene, the golden age of swing recreated by Umlaut Big Band.
