Festival Rigas Ritmi 2021 will take place in July
The 21st International Festival of Improvisation, Jazz and Global Music Rigas Ritmi 2021 will take place this year from July 1 to 3, offering concerts by both foreign stars and local artists.
The concerts of the festival will take place in VEF Culture Palace, Old Riga open-air restaurant Nekādu problēmu, Noass Art Center on AB dam, cafe Sidrērija in Old Riga and cultural space M / Darbnīca in fon Stricka villa quarter.
This year, on the main stages of the festival will perform the new star of American pop jazz and soul music Clark Beckham, powerful global music supergroup Bokanté, new flamenco-styled Spanish saxophonist and singer Antonio Lizana, Lithuanian modern jazz masters Shinkarenko Jazz 4N together with Lithuanian singer Neda, and Latvian pianist Kristaps Vanadziņš, who will gather around him the laureates of the jazz artists' competition Riga Jazz Stage.
Jersika Stage will operate on the AB dam at the Noass Art Center, where publicly available concert shows or showcases by Latvian artists will take place, which will also be presented to music industry professionals from abroad. The cafe Sidrērija and the cultural space M / Darbnīca will offer their jazz programs within the framework of the festival. The official jam sessions of Rigas Ritmi 2021 are also planned in M / Darbnīca.
There will also be workshops held by the main stars of the festival, which will be announced.
