'All About Dreaming' is a solo trombone performance conceived by Italian trombonist and improviser Filippo Vignato. The performance is designed to adapt to and interact with the acoustic dimensions of the spaces that host it: an essential and minimalist dialogue with the echoes, reverberations, and resonances of the venue, in which both performer and audience immerse themselves during the concert. By reinterpreting the connection between performing art and concert form, 'All About Dreaming' offers a total experience for both musician and audience, enveloped by the same sound and space in a timeless, dreamlike dimension.
The strong relationship and interaction with the acoustic spaces hosting the performance redefine the musical and performative narrative each time, in a continuous exploration of the expressive possibilities of acoustic sound and environmental reflections in the practice of free improvisation. This work follows in the footsteps of European avant-garde traditions, inspired by pioneering trombonists like Albert Mangelsdorff and Paul Rutherford, while also looking towards contemporary music and the research of great masters such as Luciano Berio and Vinko Globokar.
The tour is organized by Eventi SCRL in collaboration with Metrotime Società Cooperativa, with support from MiC and SIAE, as part of the “Per Chi Crea” program.
