September is a magical month on the island. With grape harvest in full flow, the Bozcaada Jazz Festival comes to bookend the summer and autumn with another big celebration: it's time to gather, reap and grow anew, the bonds between ourselves and our communities.
The countdown to discover the unique spirit of Bozcaada with jazz and the interdisciplinary activities of the festival has begun! The festival, in its seventh year, will take place between 8-10th September, 2023. With its main sponsor Paribu, the jazz festival is offering its participants a unique experience, as it does every year, in the spectacular environs of Bozcaada.
Organized with further contributions from Kendine Has, Volkswagen, Jack Lives Here, CarrefourSA, The ORGANICS by Red Bull and Kale Group, the Bozcaada Jazz Festival is fast becoming an island staple; growing Bozcaada’s renown as a hub for culture, attracting visitors from the mainland just as much as its beaches, winds, windmills and grapes do.
The seventh edition of the festival welcomes participants this year with a rich BCF KEŞİF program consisting of many interdisciplinary events as well as concerts. Festival participants will spend three full days enjoying a comprehensive program that brings together different disciplines, from art to gastronomy, to the concerts of renowned jazz musicians from all over the world. Organized by 3dots and fermente since 2017 with the support of the Turkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the festival has not only brought music lovers together for years, but has also spawned the exciting creative organisation KEŞİF. Designed to bring together institutions and communities with common values, KEŞİF is a creative space where different disciplines and different voices ask questions together, aiming to develop programs and projects with sustainable communities loaded with the energy of "exploration".
KEŞİF believes that in this difficult period we are going through, recovery comes from being in contact with each other and producing together. Enriched by interdisciplinary dialogue, KEŞİF concentrates its energy on long-term projects that foster solidarity through sustainable production models.
