Australian jazz creators and performers have been named finalists in two jazz categories of the annual Art Music Awards, co-presented by APRA AMCOS and the Australian Music Centre. These artists represent the brilliant jazz artists making waves in Australia and internationally.
The finalists for Work of the Year: Jazz are: Linda May Han Oh (Ephemeral Echoes); Aviva Endean, Sunny Kim, Peter Knight, Daniel Wilfred and David Wilfred (Mokuy), Chery Durongpisitkul (A Pinky Promise), and Helen Svoboda (The Odd River)
The finalists for Performance of the Year: Jazz/Improvised Music are: Mark Atkins, Andrew Daylight, Aviva Endean, Chris Griffiths,
Preben Ningarmarra, Tristen Parr, and Vanessa Tomlinson (The Journey Down); Cheryl Durongpisitkul and Ensemble (I Still Miss You), Hand to Earth (The Crow); Mindy Meng Wang and Paul Grabowsky AO (Spring, Flower, Snow and the Moon 春花秋月).
