The most magnificent and eco-friendly cruise ship of the Baltic Sea, Viking Grace, is together with Flame Jazz inviting you to a mini jazz festival at sea in January!
The unique concept combines jazz with the beautiful Archipelago Sea landscapes. The audience gets to enjoy some of Finland’s and Europe’s high end jazz ensembles during 23h, for the regular price of a cruise. In addition to the top artists there will also be some jam sessions together with music students. Both cruise days will also have some interesting talk shows, where artists, event organizers and other jazz workers will participate.
Flame Jazz Cruise 14 starts from the dark side with film noir moods of Josén Pimeä Puoli, and continues at the dance floor with the funk of Soul What? feat. Joonatan Rautio. Late at night the Finnish guitar virtuoso Marzi Nyman will lead the audience to his floating cathedral of music (Kelluva Katedraali). The Sunday morning begins with new and fresh music by Alder Ego and continues to the crazy sport night theme jam session with top jazz cats of Finland. On Sunday afternoon the famous Swedish singer Viktoria Tolstoy invites people to an emotional journey through the history of film music.
