In the darkest month of the year, we welcome the iconic British composer and musician Gavin Bryars. To honor him in his 80th year of life, Ha Concerts, Museum of Fine Arts Ghent and S.M.A.K. are joining forces for a three-part program. Bryars is forever remembered for such groundbreaking and deeply moving work as The Sinking of the Titanic (1969) and Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet (1971) - to which Tom Waits once lent his voice.
