EJN and Vestnorsk jazzsenter will organise a public conference and a workshop in Bergen, Norway, on 27 and 28 May 2017 on the theme of Jazz for Young People, in the framework of Nattjazz Festival (26 May - 04 June).
The public conference on 27 May will focus on the presentation of a new handbook, one of the outcomes of the 3-years activity supported by Creative Europe on "Jazz for Young People", and of the online marketplace for artistic projects on this theme that will be launched during the summer. In addition, a number of good practices and ideas for future projects engaging young audiences will be discussed with an audience composed of promoters, artists and other music professionals present on the occasion of the Festival and of the Nutshell showcase programme. The working group on the following day will instead discuss the future steps of the activity, also following the confirmation of the new Creative Europe support for the EJN network for the period 2017-2021.
