jazzahead! digital 2021 was a special moment for the international jazz scene: For the first time, the industry did not meet in Bremen in April, but online on a professional platform due to the pandemic. During four days, panels, lectures, workshops, meetings and last but not least 31 showcase concerts dealt with the current topics and news of the scene.
We have now compiled the contents in a "jazzahead! 2021 Compact" - and besides the overviews of what took place in 2021, you will also find some content to relive for everyone, even those who are not registered! jazzahead! 2022: Perspectives
Preparations for the upcoming edition of the industry get-together are already underway - and we can already reveal the following: jazzahead! 2022 will be hybrid! We are accommodating the changes in travel and participation due to the pandemic and will allow our participants to purchase an "online-only" registration in order to be able to experience the professional and showcase program from elsewhere.

jazzahead! 2022: Important Dates
Next year's jazzahead! will take place from April 28 to May 1, 2022. The partner country for the trade fair and festival will then be Canada. The partner country appearance was originally planned for 2020 and we are already very much looking forward to finally presenting our first partner country from overseas. Registration and showcase application starting date is scheduled for September 16, 2021. The showcase application phase for the German Jazz Expo, Overseas Night and European Jazz Meeting modules ends on November 4, 2021.
