We are already working with great anticipation on the 42nd edition of the Jazzfestival Saalfelden, which will take place from 18th – 21st August 2022. You can expect a festival with more than 60 concerts in town, in the woods and meadows, music hikes in the midst of our beautiful mountains and of course some surprises again.
The Mainstage at Congress Saalfelden and the Short Cuts at Kunsthaus Nexus – the two main stages of the festival - once again invite concentrated audience. Last year, the Otto-Gruberhalle, an empty industrial hall from the 1950s, was used as a stage for the first time. This year, the Otto-Gruberhalle is a considerable part of the festival again and is included in the Mainstage concert ticket for the first time. This means that ticket buyers will be offered a total of 17 concerts from Friday to Sunday. The bookbindery Fuchs will once again be a place for spontaneous musical encounters, the roofed city park and the evening concerts in the Nexus will be a meeting place with free admission.
You can look forward to a summer weekend with a good atmosphere and great musicians such as Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few, Alba Careta Group, Christoph Cech Jazz Orchestra Project, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & Jason Moran, Fabian Rucker, Ted Poor & Cuong Vu, Katharina Ernst as Artist in Residence, Gard Nilssen's Supersonic Orchestra, Jason Moran solo, Signe Emmeluth's Amoeba, Bushman's Revenge, Gard Nilssen Acoustic Unity, and many more.
