Jazzopa is a project from Sons da Lusofonia that brings together Jazz, Spoken Word, Hip-Hop, for emerging local musicians including those from the different diasporas in Lisbon (from African and South American), that seeks their profissionalization in an artistic and socially conscious language.
Jazzopa's methodology is based on a creative studio model - which its third edition took place between May and July 2024 - where participants jointly composes the repertoire of each edition, based on the idea of improvisation in real time.
The result of its collective work will be presented live this year at the Festa do Jazz (also produced by Sons da Lusofonia) and other venues in Portugal.
