LAUNCH OF THE OPILION FUND

Initiated by Le Petit Faucheux and Jazz à Tours, the Opilion Fund supports and finances artistic and cultural projects of general interest in the jazz and improvised music sector through four main pillars:

Support for a young female musician: "Françoise Dupas Grant"
Enabling a young female musician identified as having strong potential to develop her artistic project.

"Coup de pouce" (Helping Hand)
Assisting emerging musicians in overcoming material obstacles to advance their projects.

Intergenerational transmission: "Generation(s)"
Promoting exchanges and the transfer of knowledge between different generations of musicians.

Research and creation time: "Laboratory"
Providing musicians with the time and space necessary to fully focus on laboratory work preceding artistic creation, free from the constraints of production demands.

Among the first projects supported by the Opilion Fund: bassist Jasmine Lee and the creation Earth Talk by Bo van der Werf, Stéphane Payen, and Tamara Walcott.

Companies and individuals can contribute to this Fund and benefit from tax reductions.
