Moers Festival, winner of the EJN award for adventorous programming 2015, will take place during the Whitsun weekend from May 22nd till 25th 2015. In addition to the exiting programme of new and innovative acts, this edition will see the bestowing ceremony of the EJN Award for adventourous programming 2015, won by Moers Festival for its commitment to always innovate and experiment while remaining faithful to its identity.
What began in 1972 as a small open air festival in the courtyard of Moers Castle quickly evolved into a major international event in contemporary improvised music. Now as ever, the moers festival stands for the willingness to take risks and the courage to explore new territory, thus making it a reliable sources of non-mainstream musical discoveries – and since 2014 in its very own festival hall.
