For Monheim Triennale II, five international curators and artistic director Reiner Michalke, have invited sixteen musicians and composers to Monheim am Rhein. The result is an extraordinarily diverse cross-section of today’s music scene, transcending borders, genres and artistic conventions. These musicians came together for the first time at the workshop edition, The Prequel 2024, where they performed in various constellations over the course of three days. On this basis, they developed their specific dream projects for bands and ensembles, which they will present at The Festival 2025. In addition, the Monheim Triennale will offer opportunities for direct engagement through a variety of collaborations with local ensembles, schools and other educational institutions in the form of workshops, artist talks and concerts.
