To all jazz cats & friends! music:LX would like to introduce you all to 3 new jazz acts recently added to the music:LX roster. We’re very excited to see where their careers take them. Without further ado, meet Boris Schmidt, Niels Engel and Beam!
Boris Schmidt - makes a valuable member to any rhythm section as a double bass player. Also dubbed an excellent composer by Moors Magazine, Boris has contributed to 23 records and has played around the world. His latest album is out now!
Niels Engel - Award-winning Jazz drummer, percussionist and composer, Niels Engel is known for his versatility behind the kit, having performed on dozens of records with multiple jazz orchestras and artists.
Beam - is the brainchild of sax player Maayan Smith and guitarist Eran Har Even. Along with the aforementioned timekeepers, Niels Engel and Boris Schmidt, these four musicians complete the jazz ensemble. Their repertoire features compositions by Smith and Har Even. “Energy” is an accurate description for their unique brand of music. A debut album is in the works so watch this space!
