With the 13th edition of WINTERJAZZ Cologne, Stadtgarten Cologne kicks off the new year: 39 musicians present the innovative and creative power of the local scene in 11 concerts on three stages at Stadtgarten. The programme features a multifaceted spectrum of improvised and contemporary music. With free admission, the audience is invited to come by with curiosity and open ears.
In 2024, WINTERJAZZ Cologne is once again held in cooperation with NICA artist development.
NICA will host the 5th of January as an exclusive event for invited guests and professionals, presenting new projects of the current NICA artists, such as Marlies Debacker, Fabian Dudek, Luise Volkmann, Ray Lozano, Laura Totenhagen & Stefan Schönegg.
NICA artist development is a support programme funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and organised by the European Centre for Jazz and Contemporary Music at Stadtgarten Cologne for musicians working in the field of jazz and contemporary music who wish to advance their artistic profile and professionalisation.
