Organizers of the contest welcome jazz artists in categories “Jazz Vocal” and “Jazz Trumpet” to apply.
Contest is an opportunity for young talents to showcase their jazz skills, gain visibility and stage experience internationally.
Performances of contestants will be evaluated by jury which consists of professionals – musicians, producers and directors of the festivals. Already jury members from Turkey, Sweden, Lithuania and Poland have been selected and will take part on the panel. Monetary prizes in the amount of EUR 6000 and invitations to perform in jazz festivals, concerts and venues are provided for the laureates.
Jazz artists contest was founded in 2004 and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2014, when the two Grand Prix awards were won by Latvian jazz singer Kristīne Prauliņa and saxophonist Batuhan Salliel from Turkey.
International Jazz Artists Contest “Riga Jazz Stage 2015” will take place at Splendid Palace, April 9-11, 2015.
