For the 14th year already Rigas Ritmi Festival hosts a celebration of rhythms for the residents and visitors of Riga – this year’s programme features such artists as guitar player Albare in the special “Gibson” programme, fingertap master Mike Dawes, trumpet player Paolo Fresu and bandoneon player Daniele di Bonaventura, as well as Jeff Lorber, the pilgrim of smooth jazz, with “Jeff Lorber Fusion”, featuring Eric Marienthal, Jimmy Haslip and Sonny Emory; the programme also presents the unbelievable vocalist Yasmin Leavy and the unique Columbian harpist Edmar Castaneda, as well as many others! Local talent, like vocalist Inga Berzina with her quartet, Latvian Radio Big Band, RM5, as well as the winners of the International Jazz Artist Contest “Riga Jazz Stage 2014”.
“Rigas Ritmi 2014” Festival takes place from 3 till 6 July in different venues around Riga – the Riga Congress center, leisure park “Egle”, “Daugava” Concert Hall, Origo Summer Stage, club “Hamlets”.
