The Südtirol Jazz Festival is celebrating their 35th anniversary and grabs this opportunity to explore the wonderful jazz you can find in the BeNeLux countries. “We’ve seen an interesting and innovative scene come to light recently across all those countries,” explains Klaus Widmann, head of the Association organising the festival.

A good 130 musicians from all over the globe will be making an appearance for the festival’s anniversary. Between Friday 30 June and Sunday 9 July they’ll be performing some 70 concerts, and no less than 12 formations and bands feature Belgian musicians. An overview:

- Carate Urio Orchestra
- Han Bennink Mix & Match: this formation around Dutch drummer Han Bennink has Belgian horn player Joachim Badenhorst in its ranks
