TORINO JAZZ FESTIVAL 2025 "FREE THE MUSIC"

The Torino Jazz Festival 2025, curated by artistic director Stefano Zenni, will be held from April 23 to 30, with a preview across the city's jazz clubs starting on April 15. The theme of this 13th edition is "Free the Music" featuring 8 original productions and 4 European exclusives. Over the course of 8 days, 71 concerts will take place in 58 venues across Turin.

Among the 'Main Events,' the festival will open with a tribute to Enrico Rava, performed by his quintet "Fearless Five". The grand finale will coincide with International Jazz Day, in collaboration with Jason Moran, presenting the European exclusive "The Big Bang of Jazz. The Heroic Story of James Reese Europe" an original festival production. International acts to look out for in European exclusives include renowned pianists such as Vijay Iyer, Margaux Oswald, Amaro Freitas, Flamenco Criollo, and Dudù Kouaté with his quartet.

The festival will also feature 8 original productions, including "The Dance of Liberation" on April 25, celebrating the 80th anniversary of Italy's Liberation, with a performance by the GP Big Band vs JCt Big Band. Other unmissable performances include Zoe Pia, Lakecia Benjamin, Jan Bang Sextet, Furio di Castri, Koro Almost Brass Quintet, Domenico Brancale, and Andrea Rebaudengo.
